Our story began in 1970, when Gary D. Nelson opened the doors to a new kind of staffing company in Northern California — one built on relationships, trust, and a commitment to putting people first.

Over the decades, Nelson Staffing grew in step with the industries shaping today’s economy. From our early roots in administrative staffing to expanding across California and adding specialized services in finance, accounting, technology, manufacturing, wine, and more, we’ve always adapted to meet the needs of a dynamic workforce.

As business needs evolved, so did we. We introduce customized workforce solutions, strategic consulting, and scalable staffing programs designed to help employers align talent with long-term goals. And in 2022, we reintroduced ourselves as Nelson Connects — a new name that reflects our mission of connecting jobs, people, and communities.
