Job Description

Jackson’s Hardware is a 100% employee-owned ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) company and the leading independent hardware store in Marin County. Our employee-owners take pride in delivering exceptional service, deep product knowledge, and a best-in-class showroom experience.

We are currently seeking a full-time Showroom Sales Associate to join our Decorative Plumbing, Kitchen, Bath, and Door Hardware Department. This role is ideal for a candidate with prior showroom experience who enjoys working closely with customers on product selection, special orders, and project support in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has experience working in a showroom setting - such as decorative plumbing, kitchen & bath, door hardware, flooring, tile, lighting, or a related specialty retail environment—and is comfortable supporting customers through detailed product decisions. You are organized, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with both customers and vendors.

While direct experience in decorative plumbing or door hardware is strongly preferred, we are open to candidates with transferable showroom or specialty retail experience who demonstrate strong aptitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in the showroom with product selection, specifications, and pricing
• Process special orders accurately and efficiently
• Work directly with product vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and lead times
• Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone
• Ring up purchases and process returns using POS systems
• Maintain showroom displays, stock merchandise, and relocate product as needed
• Support a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom environment
• Collaborate with team members to uphold Jackson’s high standards of service and accuracy

Schedule & Availability

• Monday–Friday: 6:00am – 6:00pm

• Saturday: 7:00am – 5:00pm

• Saturday availability is required

• Set schedule with 8-hour day shifts

Requirements

• Prior showroom or specialty retail experience preferred

• Strong customer service and consultative sales skills

• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through

• Ability to stand and move for most of the workday

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Proficiency in written and verbal communication

• POS experience is a plus

• Willingness to work Saturdays and select holidays
