Join us for a Discussion of Electrification of Existing Buildings: Challenges, Opportunities & Next Steps

Brian Reyes, County of Marin, will introduce the Marin County’s current thinking on, and the process for developing, an Electrification Plan to address electrifying appliances in existing buildings.



Alexi Miller, from the New Buildings Institute in Portland, OR, will focus on the challenges to electrifying existing buildings and how those challenges are being addressed elsewhere. Alexi’s team is finalizing an electrification plan funded by the New York State Energy Research & Development Agency (NYSERDA). He will talk about the policies needed to build customer and contractor readiness so that transitioning existing structures to electrification is easier to achieve.
