SUMMARY:Pacific Gas & Electric - Training for High Performance Enclosure Design & Construction
DESCRIPTION:Enclosure Trainings with John Straube of RDH Building Science\nDr. John Straube will teach four classes in three locations in the Greater Bay Area over May 22\,\n\n23\, & 24. John is a building science engineer working in RDH?s Toronto and Waterloo offices.\n\nHe heads forensic investigations and leads research projects in the areas of low-energy building\n\ndesign\, building enclosure performance\, hygrothermal analysis\, and field monitoring of wall\n\nassemblies. Dr. Straube is also a cross-appointed faculty member in the School of Architecture\n\nand the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo.\n\n\n\nBuilding Enclosures: Continuous Exterior Insulation and High R-Value Walls\n\nDesigners and builders need to understand how to design\, detail\, and construct high thermal\n\nperformance enclosures. John Straube will cover important concepts and detailing approaches\n\nfor true high R-value enclosures\, especially the important benefits of continuous insulation. The\n\nclass will include interactive exercises where participants apply the information in analyses of\n\nsectional drawings and building details.\n\n\n\nView Flyer Here
