DESCRIPTION:VIRTUAL PROGRAM\n\nJoin the Center for Architecture + Design in collaboration with AIA San Francisco for this segment of "Fresh Brew" featuring a lively and intimate conversation with Bert deViterbo\, AIA\, IIDA\, CDT\, LEED AP\, Principal at Gensler. Design Aficionada and Guest Host\, Lisa Boquiren\, will talk shop about his work leading a cross-discipline team focused on design projects in the tech industry. Masterful at leveraging his strategic design\, management\, and technical expertise to deliver outstanding design for clients globally\, he is a strong believer in making a difference in the local Bay Area community with organizations such as Positive Resource Center\, Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA)\, and St. Anthony.\n\n\n\nLisa Boquiren\, Brand Strategist / Design Aficionada\, brings insight\, ideas and brand strategy to creative businesses. She oversaw rebranding initiatives\, as director of marketing at San Francisco Design Center\, and at EHDD. As chairperson for the AIASF Communications Committee (2009-2014)\, Lisa helped advance the chapter's messaging goals\, particularly for women in practice\, through incubator events that enabled EQxD. Other events she has created include "Flight Path" (2020) and the Practice Series (2012-present) which covers topics ranging from women in practice and the state of the profession to equity in education.
